Too Drunk To Dream

…ain’t no drinking when the bottle’s dry…

Ryan Adams and Neal Casal – Live/Acoustic from St. James Church

You all must know by now the unhealthy obsession I have with Ryan Adams. It’s not that I don’t listen to other artists, in fact MOST of my time is dedicated to just that. It’s just that I find myself just being spoken to by his music. I can’t help but think that the very purpose of music is to touch one’s soul, and on many days, Ryan’s does…. (I think Bon Iver’s “To Emma, Forever Ago” works on all other days). Anyhoo, I came across a rip of Ryan’s televised performance at the St. James Church in Dingle, County Kerry, Ireland. What an unfortunate name for a town. I bet it’s beautiful, though. come to think of it, serve me a couple pints of fresh Irish Guinness and I’ll tell you that any place (or female, fwiw) is beautiful. Hell, I’ve thought that Fall River, Mass was a beautiful place after a few (6) pints…. Anyway, I edited the video, chopped it up and threw them up on Youtube. Check them out.
